Her character in the TV series “Firefly” never gave her real name. The three aliases the character used, Yolanda, Saffron, and Bridget, were contracted into the nickname “Yo-Saf-Bridge” in the episode “Trash“.

Born in Knoxville, Tennessee, but raised in Twin Falls, Idaho since the age of three.

Although known as a redhead, Christina is a natural blonde having dyed her hair since she was 10 years old.

In 1989, her family moved to Fairfax, Virginia, where she appeared in several high school plays and local community theatre.

She was in a Visa commercial with Pierce Brosnan.

Christina is #2 in AIM‘s “50 Hottest Redheads.”

Christina, along with her Mad Men female co-stars, was listed among’s “Underrated of 2007“.

Even after the show was canceled, Christina remains friends with Firefly co-stars Morena Baccarin and Nathan Fillion.

Christina, who guest-starred in two episodes of Firefly, appears in the show’s special DVD feature entitled Done The Impossible: The Fans’ Tale of Firefly & Serenity.

As a child, Christina used to play video games and Dungeons and Dragons with her brothers.

Before acting on television, Christina modeled in New York and London.

During her spare time, Christina likes to knit and cook. She also goes on weekend trips and wine tasting events whenever she can.

Christina was featured in the “Year of the Redhead” section of People Magazine‘s 100 Most Beautiful People issue in 2008.

Christina considers TV producer John Wells to be her fairy godfather. She credits him for involving her in projects like ER and The Court while she was starting out on television.

She won an award from the SyFy Genre Awards for Best Special Guest/Television for the Firefly episode “Trash” (2006).

Christina’s first acting experiences were in Junior Musical Playhouse productions. Her first play was The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. Christina’s theatrical credits include Agnes of God, Blythe Spirit, All My Sons, and Jesus Christ Superstar.

Christina guest starred in episode 24 of GeeksOn, a geek-themed podcast in which her brother, Aaron Hendricks, is one of the hosts.
