Christina Hendricks To Star In “Measure Of A Man”

Mad Men” star Christina Hendricks will star in the ’70s drama “Measure Of A Man.” Directed by Terry Loane and penned by David Scearce, the coming-of-age tale will follow “a bullied teen (Riley Griffiths) negotiating the challenging path to manhood under the guidance of a reclusive Wall Street executive who gives him a summer job.”

Hendricks, nominated for an Emmy last year for her role on AMC’s Mad Men, will play the boy’s mother, who is undergoing marital woes sparked by her fierce independence and a new career path. Production is expected to begin this summer in Connecticut and New York. Deadline previously reported that The Fosters’ Madisen Beaty had joined the film.

Hendricks, repped by ICM and Kritzer Levine WIlkins Griffin Nilon Entertainment, next shoots God’s Pocket being directed by her Mad Men co-star John Slattery. Philip Seymour Hoffman,Richard Jenkins, and John Turturro co-star in that one, based on the Pete Dexter novel. Her recent credits also include Ryan Gosling’s directorial debut How To Catch A Monster, which Warner Bros picked up just before Cannes.
