A strong cast is coming together for indie drama The Burning Woman: Sienna Miller, Jacki Weaver, Aaron Paul and Christina Hendricks will star in the Scott Free film.
Brad Ingelsby (Run All Night) wrote the script for the thriller that centers on a woman whose life is forever changed when her teenage daughter mysteriously disappears and she is left to raise her young grandson.
Jake Scott (Welcome to the Rileys) is attached to direct the film, which is being produced by Ridley Scott, Kevin Walsh and Mike Pruss for Scott Free. Erika Olde is executive producing. UTA is handling domestic rights.
“An excellent script by Brad Inglesby has drawn a truly excellent cast. For me, a dream come true,” Scott said in a statement.
Mad Men star Hendricks was most recently seen in the films The Neon Demon and Bad Santa 2. The actress will soon be seen in the comedy Fist Fight. She is repped by ICM Partners, Independent Talent Group in the U.K., LINK Entertainment and Hirsch Wallerstein.
